Is Generational Curses Biblical?
The Bible mentions in several places where God will punish to the third and fourth generation.
It sounds unfair for God to punish children for the sins of the fathers. However, this is looking at it from an earthly perspective.
Only God knows the effects of sin and how sin passed down from one generation, will effect the next. When a father has a sinful lifestyle, his children are likely to have the same sinful lifestyle. That's why its not unjust or unfair for God to punish to the third or fourth generation- because they are committing the same sins their ancestors did. However, they are being punished for their own sins, not the sins of their ancestors.
The cure for a generational curse, is salvational faith in Jesus Christ.
